  • This presentations begins with a review of proper and efficient diagnosis of anxiety and depression including tricks, rule outs and differential diagnosis. We'll then explore detailed recommendations for guiding patients through a comprehensive strategy for managing anxiety and depression. You will learn the risks and benefits of different approaches and what evidence supports the use of the varied options provided. We'll discuss barriers and practice implementing and setting SMART goals. Participants will leave with electronic resources to facilitate easy distribution of this material to patients. This session focuses on empowering patents to customize their care and pursue treatment options that resonate with their own health beliefs.
    By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

    • Explain how to properly diagnose anxiety and depression
    • Apply integrative solutions and strategies for treatment of anxiety and depression
    • Use SMART goals to ensure patient self-management and follow through
