  • The revolutionary movement of evolving from a health system focused on disease to one of prevention, wellness, and well- being is rapidly moving from crystallization to fruition. This presentation will discuss the present status, key opportunities and future trends at this critical time in history. It will address the fundamentals of this transformation in order to develop a health delivery system based on inter-professional collaboration, pluralism, and health creation for the population.
    By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

    • Define the power of advocacy for creating change in how health is defined, and how health care is delivered in the U.S.
    • Describe the Congressional Integrative Health and Wellness Caucus and federal opportunities to drive change
    • Inform and provide tools for individual engagement in local community-based advocacy
