What you will learn

  • Course Summary

  • We all know the science, but how do we effectively communicate to our patients to motivate them to change their thinking, increase their motivation, and help them successfully adapt long lasting new healthy habits of living? To really influence change as practitioners, we must consider the whole patient and guide conversations in a non-judgmental way, incorporate motivational interviewing, breakdown nutrition science, model and practice healthy behaviors, and build strong relationships.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

    • Examine the question, "What is the art and science of helping our patients successful change?"
    • Analyze how you can help your patients overcome their barriers so to create health rather than illness in their lives
    • Determine how you can teach motivation, resiliency, hope, and change

Course includes:

  • Video recording
  • Downloadable audio
  • Speaker handout(s)
  • 1 Quiz
  • Certificate of Completion
