Shaista Malik, MD, PhD, MPH
About Shaista
Dr. Shaista Malik is a cardiologist specializing in non-invasive cardiology and preventive medicine. She has been a faculty member at UC Irvine for several years and an associate professor of medicine since 2013. Malik received her undergraduate education at Stanford, then earned a Masters in Public Health at UCLA before entering UC Irvine, where she completed medical school and her residency in Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology. During her fellowship she obtained her PhD in Health Services at UCLA’s School of Public Health. Malik is known for her excellent clinical care and has a reputation as a caring mentor to students and young faculty.
