 Course Summary

In this experiential lecture, the participants will learn basics regarding the biofield, including biofield anatomy, the use of biofield techniques for self-care practices. These simple techniques discussed in this session will help to promote good health, reduce stress, prevent burn out and improve energy hygiene to be able to continue the journey of caring for others.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • To recognize changes in the biofield related to stress or diseases
  • To implement new habits to prevent burn out

Course Faculty

Sandra Amado, MD, FAIHM

Bio

Sandra Amado, MD, FAIHM, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who currently practices at her office in Katy, TX, combining conventional medicine with integrative therapies. Dr. Amado obtained her medical degree from the University of La Sabana in Colombia. After graduating from her family medicine residency at NYMC, she completed the AIHM Integrative Health & Medicine Fellowship Program in 2018 as part of Cohort 1. With a lifelong interest in other healing techniques, she became a pranic healer in2010 and has extensive training in aromatherapy. Dr. Amado leads meditation and healing activities and provides health and mindfulness education for medical students, nurse practitioner programs in her practice, and her community.
