 Course Description

What is this course about?

Medical Intuition is defined as a system of expanded perception gained through the development of the human sense of intuition which offers a whole-person perspective for health intended to help promote physical well-being, as well as emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Medical Intuition is designed to provide essential support to any Integrative healthcare practice. From the heart of ancient healing traditions to the advances of modern medicine, practitioner intuition has been that "special something" that patients and clients all seem to recognize. Many healthcare experts agree that the skill of intuition can offer significant advantages in healthcare. Like any other skill, intuition can be harnessed, developed, and optimized for greater clarity and application in the clinical setting. This session delivers the evidence-supported research and modern applications of Medical Intuition in Integrative healthcare. Facilitated discussion from two perspectives (clinical Integrative practice (Lloyd Costello, MD, Family Medicine) and education (Wendie Colter, MCWC, CMIP) will enhance the learners insight into the common human experience of the interconnectedness of people and our inherent intuitive abilities.
