What is this course about?

As marijuana has grown in popularity as a therapeutic supplement, marijuana users and hypertensive patients are beginning to overlap. Half of the US population is clinically hypertensive, so understanding the triphasic effect of THC on blood pressure is critical to keep users safe.

Meet Your Faculty

Kasey McClurg, PhD(ABD), MAS, CPT

Kasey Flynt (McClurg) is a Ph.D student in integrative and functional nutrition with Saybrook University and an adjunct nutrition professor at Wichita State Technical University. Kasey is currently working on her dissertation and expects to graduate in 2023. Kasey focuses her research on dietary herb and supplements (including cannabis), rural nutrition, and food sovereignty. Kasey uses their experience as a former Colorado cop to debunk many myths of "vice" nutrients to help inform better medical integrations.
