Course Outline

Meet Your Faculty

Paula Gardiner, MD, MPH

Dr. Paula Gardiner, MD, MPH, is the Director of Primary Care Implementation Research at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion at Cambridge Health Alliance. An Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Massachusetts School, she leads the group medical visit program at the Center for Integrated Primary Care and is a founder of the Center for Integrated Medical Group Visits. With an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health and a Clinical Research Fellowship in Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research from Harvard Medical School, she focuses her NIH and PCORI-funded research on mindfulness, technology, and health disparities in low-income patients. Dr. Gardiner has published over 90 peer-reviewed papers on chronic pain, health disparities, technology, dietary supplements, stress, and integrative medicine. As a certified meditation teacher and Mindful Self-Compassion teacher, she leads mindfulness-based stress reduction classes and facilitates Ron Epstein MD and Mick Krasner MD's Mindfulness Practice program nationally.
