Course Description

Providing integrative healthcare in underserved communities presents unique challenges and opportunities. This course explores how innovative, cost-effective, and culturally responsive strategies can expand access to integrative medicine in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other community settings.

Participants will examine systemic barriers, such as financial constraints, access issues, and workforce limitations, while also highlighting strengths, including traditional healing practices and community-based approaches. The session will provide a framework for a comprehensive integrative healthcare model, incorporating group visits, nutrition interventions, acupuncture, and other Whole Health strategies.

Additionally, clinicians will walk away with practical, low-cost clinical pearls that can be immediately implemented to enhance patient care.
